  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hya All,

Things seem to be improving and it's brilliant !!!! Archie went to the vet last night and he had pain relief and some xrays which the vet said was inconclusive so I brought him home and he had a comfortable night and I took him back this morning to have his tummy and teeth checked whilst he was knocked out and the vet has just phoned me and said that there was some damage to his teeth so they've been filed down and that his stomach feels fine now but his kidneys still feel swollen so he has had some blood tests as the vet thinks he may have a infection called something like corricucoli ? so he is going to have doses of fiberplex whilst he is at the vet and I am going to carry it on a home as well as some treatment for his kidneys as the vet said the treatment won't hurt him if he doesn't have the infection but it's best to start him on it today rather than wait for the test results. I AM SO HAPPY !!!!! thankyou so much for all your support xx

Thanks for your responses, yep that is probably what he meant.... I was just really happy and I couldn't hear him very well ! Thanks again x
