    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Poo Question......

FudgeMallow

Mama Doe
Fudges poo is a lovely golden colour and big and full of hay but its moist not dry (disgusting i know :lol:) What makes it so moist?

I stopped her veg at the weekend and since then she has been eating her oat, wheat and barley hay which is great since she never used to eat hay but her poo has went from big, dry and dark to big moist and golden?

She has a vet appointment at half one for a check up so will ask if its diet related but does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks :wave::wave:

The golden colour is due to the high fibre hay.Could it be moist as its fresh?
[about to wander into garden to check poos]

Yeh i know the colour is because of the hay but when i break one open (not the nicest part of having a bunny) Its very moist and not very crumbly :?
She is only given a teaspoon of pellets morning and night and get the odd treat (maybe 1 a day if that)

The other have more dry poo than Fudges when fresh!
