Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Does Anyone Know Of A Rabbit Specialist Vet In The Plymouth Area

yoshi&gizmo

Alpha Buck
Hi all

I am after a bit of advice. I recently went to my normal vet as yoshi had white discharge coming out of his nose. They checked him over and said he has pasturella. He had a temperture too. So they gave him a shot of antibiotics and i had a course of them to give him for ten days. All went well and he finished the antibiotics a week ago.
however yesterday he seemed a little bit snuffly and tonight aswell and then had a sneezing fit and all discharge came out of his nose. [greeny this time not as white]
I am taking him to the vet tomorrow but to be honest we have had problems with our other bunny and spent £100's on him and they couldn't work out what was wrong with him and we ending up getting the answer though this site which saved his life!!
So now with yoshi we are not keen for this vet to keep taking our money and pumping him full of antibiotics if there is something else we could be doing to help keep the pasturella under control [if that is even what is wrong with him]

Hope someone can help and tell us a vet in the plymouth area who specializes in RABBITS

Thanks

Sorry about the lack of replies.
I'm sorry but i can not help you as i do not live in the area, try checking the thread or bumping it up tomorrow, i suspect everyone has gone to bed
