Libbys great adventure!!!

Well, I am off work today, and so didn't get up until 9.30am. Went out to see Libby and Fiver about 10 minutes later, and Libby didn't run up to greet me. Straight away, I knew something wasn't right. After checking her hutch and run, I realised she was gone :shock: The only explanation I could have is that on Tuesday, I noticed a small section of wire had come loose on top of the run. I had covered it with a towel until Steve could fix it. Between 11.30 last night (last time I checked on her) and 9.30am this morning, the towel had fallen into the run, and Libby must have climbed up and out :shock:. So I frantically start searching around the garden - no sign. I run round to the house that backs on to ours, as their fence has blown down, and its the only unsecure area of our garden at the moment - no sign. I come back and search again - shouting her name and rattling the food. All of a sudden, I see her hiding under Fiver's hutch - the relief was immense. After some persuasion, contorting and quick reflexes, she was back in my arms - phew!!!She is now in the house whilst Steve is outside fixing the run.

I don't know how long she was out for, but I was surprised that she stayed so close, as it is a big garden. I felt physically sick when I realised she wasn't there - sometimes they remind you just how much you love them

so glad she is safe...

I know - I was so scared. The area where the wire is loose is so small, I can't believe she fit through it. Needless to say, I shall never delay fixing even the smallest hole in future
