Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

For the past week its seems the buns have been drinking less and less. Yesterday the bottle was almost still full. They have been having lots of fresh grass (from nextdoors jungle). Should I be concerned?

I don't think so aslong as they are drinking small amounts... perhaps give them cooled boiled water in a bowl... they're supposed to love it.

are you feeding uch veg? aslong as they are getting thier liquid from elsewhere it should be ok.

My bunny does not drink a great deal even when it is really hot. Someone suggested putting down a bowl of water as well as the bottle and now he drinks from the both. I think it's more natural for him to drink from a bowl.
I have to change it twice a day to keep it insect free!

Whats made me concerned they have gone from almost finishing off a bottle a day to now not touching it hardly.

They have had an increase in veg and as I said lots of fresh grass, especially as nextdoor have let it go wild, waste not want not.

Thought about a bowl but what sort shall I use? I have 7 spare cat food bowls but would they be too light?

I use cat bowls but they are the brown heavy ones, earthenware i think. My bunny did the same from drinking loads to nothing. I don't know why but he seems to be happy.
