Hutch question for a newie starting out

As you may know i am researching about rabbits as we will be looking at getting a pet this year sooner rather than later..

Starting with hutches is it better to have them elevated from the ground or move around grass areas of the yard?

And is wood better than other materials , they look lovely but thinking of cleaning etc is it better to use another product to have them made from?

Hutches shouldn't rest right on the ground as the damp rises up. It doesn't have to be high though, a brick at each corner works.

You can make cleaning easier by lining the hutch floor with lino and using a litter tray :)
