  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I don't believe it, well actually I do:(!

I just went out to feed the bunnies at 3pm and Smokey refused her food, she did eat a little bit of grass that I picked but refused her usual Wagg. She has been eating fine all day.

I've just dosed her with Infacol and I'm hoping I've caught her in time. I'm going to see how she is at about 4.45pm when I do the litter trays and round them up, if she is still not munching, I guess we'll be off to the vets.

I just wonder what has set her off this time.

Sending lots of vibes to Smokey! I swear you only have to look at a bunny for them to get GI stasis! xx

I DO only have to look at a bunny for them to get GI Stasis!

Thank you for all the vibes, they must have worked because by 5.15pm she was munching on hay like it was going out of fashion. I'm just glad that I caught it in time, I was not looking forward to a trip to the vets at 6pm.

Thanks again for the vibes

FC xx
