I hate it! Picking up buns that is I want to do it right but it just feels so harsh, and they dont like it . I only do it to move them to the garden and back i just lie on the floor with them the rest of the time where they will nuzzle me for strokes!
Also I am sure they are not eating enough hay or drinking enough water or spending enough time with me!!And I worry about how long I should leave it before I get Luna Neutered! It really is like being a new mom all over again!
I am loving it though, they have lived here a week now and or soooo great for this family. I have been slowley expanding their indoor areas when they are out with us at home and they have been slowley getting used to being outside. They are such a lovely couple and I cant think of more perfect buns! They were even all ready litter trained when I got them!
I hate picking my lot up too. Smokey is not too bad with it but Inky is terrible. I actually dread having to catch him to take him to the vets.
Luckily, their run is attached to the playhouse, so I don't need to pick them up too often.
I still worry about if I'm doing stuff right, this morning I spent a few minutes examining Smokey's poo for fur, to check she isn't getting bunged up with it . I know, I'm mad.
I really want them to be able to spend days out side and the rest of the time in here with us :? there are steps at the door though so I dont really want them going in by them selves although if after a month I still dont like it I may have to install a ramp
As for the other stuff the Vet said to wait a month at least before spaying Luna to let her adjust to my care and since thereis no immediate rush I am gonna listen to him cos he is a good vet. (I was amazed when I met him just how much he knew about respiritory illness and car in rats! I asked if he was a small animal specialist and he said no just a companion animal specialist)
And they must be eating and drinking enough cos they have 24 hour access to hay and water an differing forms and are weeing and pooing with vigor  As well as hopping all over the place and investigating with as much enthusiasm as I have seen from any rabbit! I am just a worry wart!
I was terrified for both my rabbits for the first six months I owned them  It does get easier though and do find yourself relaxing eventually!
I hate picking my two up too, especially Frankie as he gets so frightened It was claw trim day today and I now have two very sulky bunnies
