  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

That is one disapproving glare! [emoji38] Yet ridiculously cute at the same time.

Speaking of charcoal, I remember reading a story in the paper years ago about a woman who had serious cravings for charcoal during her pregnancy. She apparently ate loads of the stuff. The baby must have come out covered in soot.

Hello beautiful bunnies xx

Will you have any charcoal left incase?. These two are partial to a naughty nom. Wasn't it Lillys before? What happened to that bunny theory of "bunnys won't eat anything that's toxic" [emoji23][emoji23] These two must have good guts and a quick thinking bunny mum

Indeed! Lopsy wouldn't touch the hemlock we accidentally gave him (before we went on our Forage Day!) but they both love cramming as much rhubarb leaf as they can, the little :censored:

I think I've said this before, but all of our chickens have always tried to eat lots of Rhubarb leaves!

There must just be something about them! I used to play with them as a kid and if I licked a finger, it tasted awful! Like licking off nail varnish remover, although not the same taste :S Don't see the appeal
