Mixture of woods nibbled/eaten - poisonous? Help

Hi, so I wasn't around today but buns were put out in pen, and I've got back to discover them chewing on small bits of wood..

So I'm pretty sure most of it is Xmas tree wood pieces.. But I can't be sure for all of it... Do I need to take them to vet ASAP? They seem alright in themselves currently..

Is Xmas tree poisonous? :(
Viburnum is the other possibility I think, conflicted online, anyone know if it's toxic?

Not sure what to do really :'( they shouldn't have been put outside :(

It's difficult to say without knowing exactly what the woods were. I've checked online for you regarding xmas trees. The consensus seems to be that they are fine, unless the tree was treated with a pesticide or a chemical to prevent needle drop, which is possibly something you don't know.

Can you tell how much wood has been consumed? If it's not a lot, I think I'd be fairly relaxed about it. Obviously watch them carefully and maybe top their hay up.

ETA Just seen the edit re Viburnum. This appears to be OK apart from the berries http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/GI_diseases/Food/Tox/Tox_en.htm

I've edited my post to cover Viburnum.

Is that Viburnum lantana (Wayfaring tree)? If your Viburnum was a species planted for its flowers, it's unlikely to have been the Wayfaring tree.

So giving the charcoal is fine, I've gotta do it every 4-6 hours, but the tablet is milk thistle they need half each twice a day... Clementine ate her half.. Atticus not so much I think he managed to get most the dose, but can I break it into a powder going forward and mix it with water or juice do you think? Syringing it will just be so much easier if I can.

Thanks everyone for the vibes I really appreciate it xxx

Have they had the meds? Can you take them home?
Yea my vets doesn't have anyone there overnight so I had to bring them home anyway, thanks for all your help earlier the vet looked up the same stuff we both did and came to the conclusion that the viburnum could potentially be an issue if it's that one type, so treating and hoping for the best now x

I guessed it would be milk thistle. Yes you can use the powder in water/juice and syringe it.
It will be fine :D

Ah thanks :) will do that for tomorrow mornings dose - that's for quite a few days, and the charcoal just for 24 hours, looks like they're stuck with me glued to them for next 24 hours [emoji38] currently eating their veggies, I'm hoping everything will just be okay :) x

Lots of hay/fibre to move things through.
Lots of water to flush out the kidneys.

I think they should be fine - you've acted very promptly :)

Yea I hope so, they're eating hay atm :)

Is there anyway I can increase the amount of water they drink? Don't wanna stress them by syringing water unless obviously I have to - maybe a touch of apple juice in there? Is that safe?
