  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Norah's spay

Well I have came to the conclusion that Jimmy is leaving the food for Norah. They share a pellet bowel and he wouldn't touch them until I put the dish in his hidey hole. How sweet is that. Also Norah has vet check today , shall no leave Jimmy at home or take him along. There bond is stronger than ever through this so maybe I should. I dont wanna stress him for nothing though x

You may have already had the vet visit, but I play this on an individual basis. If the one coming to keep company gets overly stressed, then I won't bring them. If they will do OK together then I do as it's a good idea.

I hope Norah's check up goes well :)

Just an update, today I put Norah and Jimmy back in the shed, I thought rabbits had short memories but they remembered and even Norah done a little Binky when she realised she was home. I love my Jimmy so much but I think we are both pleased he is back outside to live, while inside, he managed to chew through a phone charger, scrape the carpet, break an ornament and put a hole in the throw on the settee, while they have Been inside I have insulated the shed with foam foil and placed wood over the top of it ready for the colder weather.I was so reluctant to get the spay done but now I am so pleased I did and it's over with, I just need the injections sorted on Thursday then I can breathe a sigh of relief. I just want to thank those of you who helped me through it, as at times it was so worrying ,i would of been lost without the help and advice and I managed to stay off the vodka [emoji23][emoji23]. Xx
