Probably a daft question, but....

Why do Badger & Blueberry run away from me when I try & stroke them? They bound over to me and will happily eat out of my hand, but as soon as I touch them, they run away :( I can only stroke them when they're face down in their dinner

Slipper & Blackavar love being petted & Rosie is still getting used to me so this behaviour is understandable in her! They've been with me since 8 weeks old & were very tame and used to cuddles anyway. Confused!

Not all rabbits are hand friendly - I have Biscuit, who is a bunnys bunny - he will not tolerate being touched unless its on his terms (nose rubs when he asks and behind the ear scratches).

If you try and stroke him you tend to get a stamp and he runs off.

Sounds like you may have a pair of rabbit rabbits!

Yep I agree with Gray, I have 4 buns, 2 of which come charging up and like cuddles (most of the time) one I adore but can't really touch, although I am confident handling him if I need to for meds and the like and Poppy, half blind and fully dopey  she is the easiest to handle as most of the time she hasn't got a clue what's going on and just goes with it  I'm not sure how much she enjoys it though so mostly just leave her to do her bunny things.

Thor and Loki are brothers, they couldn't be farther away in personalities. But that's fine, I have a secret soft spot for Thor my antisocial lunatic!

All 4 of mine are like it  they don't like being touched at all if they can avoid it

My Annabella's the same, she just doesn't like being touched at all. Occasionally, if there is food involved, she will tolerate it for a few seconds, but usually she just runs off and stares at me with reproach, with a look like 'what on EARTH are you doing you weirdo?!' on her face. If I try again or try to pick her up I usually get offended foot flicks too.

Barney, on the other hand, adores being stroked and begs for attention. And he'll groom me but not Annabella.

Millie does this too. She comes to see me quite often in the evening and sometimes even gives me a nudge but if I try to give her a nose rub she runs away. She use to just run from me all the time so she is slowly getting better. She was flopped the other day and I got to stroke her for a minute before she remembered she didn't like it and ran off!

Sounds pretty standard to me. You do get some rabbits that like stroking etc but most rabbits aren't cuddly creatures by nature, especially if they have a bunny friend to socialise with.
Think yourself lucky that you have two who enjoy it :D

Blackavar absolutely adores it  he'll happily sit for hours receiving fuss and is also perfectly happy to be picked up as it means he gets snuggles & he sits on my knee for hours watching tv with me

Slipper will happily accept nose rubs unless there's food and then he's more "feed me feed me feed me!!!!!!"

Slipper sounds like he is really coming on. Its so nice when they have company and space isnt it?

Out of my eight only Mottle, Frosty and Sunshine let me stroke them. None of them really like it.

Peaches, Tessie, Daisy and Snowflake loathe being touched at all and Autumn will allow strokes for a bit before hopping out of range!

I have tried bribery but no luck as yet.

I'm really proud of Slipper & how he's doing  I've got all 5 if them out in the kitchen with me ATM and Slipper's behaving beautifully. It's Badger & Blackavar who are the humpy ones
