Poor, long suffering Thumper and Merry find themselves back at the Centre for a third time, through no fault of their own. Their previous visit information and photos can be found here.

Both bunnies are very, very sociable and friendly and have been bonded for many years with no problems.

There isn't much to say right now because it's so sad they are back. We are just desperate for them to finally find the reliable, forever home they deserve. They have only ever been let down, but for two such friendly, sociable and delightful rabbits, this is exceptionally sad.

Can you offer them their forever home? If you can, this will be at least the fifth place they have called home (counting the Centre as just one, but they are now here for the third time). We hope the next one will be their real forever home.

To adopt from RSPCA Martlesham, you will first need to come and meet the bunny/ies you are interested in. You will be asked to fill in the appropriate forms. We will then arrange a time when our home visitor can meet with you for a chat, and to make sure that your accommodation meets our requirements. You will also be provided with a free Rabbit Information Pack. If you want to adopt a single rabbit to bond with a lonely rabbit of your own, then after the home visit you will be asked to bring your rabbit (provided s/he is fully vaccinated and neutered/spayed) to the Centre to ‘date’ the rabbit you wish to adopt.

The Centre is open:

Monday- 11.30-3.30
Tuesday- 11.30-3.30
Wednesday- Closed all day
Thursday- 11.30-3.30
Friday- 11.30-3.30
Saturday- 11.30-3.30
Sunday- 1.30-3.30 (available by appointment only).

Please note that whilst you may express an interest in a rabbit, we can only reserve rabbits after the home check has been carried out.
Other information:

• All rabbits adopted from us are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated (against both Myxomatosis and VHD) whilst in our care.
• We ask for 50sq ft of permanent access space for a pair of rabbits.
• You can find out more about the home visit at the bottom of the following link http://flashsplace.webs.com/rspcavolunteering.htm

Disclaimer: All the information displayed on this page is up to date at the time of uploading. We try to keep everything as up to date as possible, however, there is always the possibility that the situation has changed (for example, if a rabbit has died, or divorced, or been bonded, or adopted), so please feel free to visit our Centre to see exactly what we have at the time you are looking to adopt.

Thumper and Merry are Rabbit Rehome's 'Bun of the Week' on Facebook :)

We are very grateful that they are and hope it will generate something psoitive for them, for their future. :)

What a shame for two such gorgeous bunnies  I hope they finally find their proper forever home very soon xx

Thumper has had a bit of a weird affliction recently (managed to stump two vets with it). He got a massive soggy wet patch on his cheek. He had a thorough vet examination and no evidence was found of teeth issues or a wound, or any reason at all for it (i.e. it didn't appear to be coming from the eyes, nose or mouth). The theory is that he was laying with this area in the water bowl. We can't see an obvious reason for doing this, but he is being closely monitored.

He has had his water bowl changed. The wet fur was trimmed off and Fuciderm has been used and it has cleared up beautifully. He is now dry and in much better condition, although he does look ridiculous.

His teeth don't have spurs, however his lower molars all tilt inwards so this will need to be closely monitored, although we have known Thumper for about 3 yars now and he hasn't ever had a problem with his teeth so we hope that with the correct diet it will stay this way.

Merry currently is having her eyes bathed because she has mild infections. We hope this will clear up soon.

The RSPCA bunnies got some Christmas presents earlier this week. They all started with toilet rolls and very nommy, treaty hay.

Here are Thumper and Merry enjoying theirs.

Thumper and Merry are still looking for their TRUE forever home.

Thumper currently has his wet cheek back, but on the other side. We aren't sure what is going on but it doesn't appear to be bothering him.
