Posting URL Links

Why is it that some links will display in our post with a preview image, whilst other links will not?

My OCD brain doesn’t like the lack of symmetry it gives to the appearance of the post !

There's a few different reasons I think and some sites just don't seem to support unfurling (that's the technical term for the previews lol).

There's a couple of things that make a difference though. If you want it to unfurl then you need to post the URL on it's own line in the reply box - it won't work if you post it right before or after any other text.

I also don't think it works if you use the "Insert link" button to create a hyperlink.

No problem! Hopefully the tips help to make your posts look a bit more uniform though.
