sorry to jump in but just saw this! we do the swivel catches as an option as some people prefer to put their own bolts on or lockable catches with padlocks instead of the barrel bolts but I would certainly never recommend they are used on their own for bunny safety.
I hope that makes sense also we don't make hutch covers ourselves but can refer people onto manufacturers if they want to use them.
