Oxbow Support Supplements

Peter& Benjamin

Young Bun
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, did a quick search and couldnt find anything recent. Has anyone got an opinion on the Oxbow supplements? I got my two the digestive support ones and am considering getting the joint support too, but i've heard contradicting things about giving bunnies Glucosamine?

I use all six supplements on Mimzy. He adores the digestive and immune support tablets but I can't tell if the joint ones have done much. He is about 7, has had early onset arthritis from age 3 and other supplements like myristol were summarily snubbed so since these go down a treat and actually help keep his gut moving well I'm continuing them for the foreseeable future.
I might also mention that although he has worsening spondylosis and hip spurs on both sides he's quite difficult to catch when needed. His foot flicks haven't lost any strength either. ;)

I use the joint support ones for my arthritic bunny.
I definitely think there helping and im going to see my rabbit specialist vet on Saturday to get his feedback too :)

The digestive ones have definately made a difference to my tummy bun, though it took a while to see the results.

I've also been giving the multi vit ones to a rescue bun I took on who was in poor condition and he's been coming on nicely.

Molly is on the joint supplements because she has sore hocks and I think they have helped her a bit. Milly is on digestive supplements because she's prone to stasis and she hasn't had an episode since taking them. I would recommend them and my girls do love them so they are a healthy treat.

That's interesting to know - I've bought the digestive ones, so will try them:wave:

Thanks for all your replies, I've ordered the joint support ones as always swore by glucosamine for my dog, and Louie has clicky joints so I want to get in there before anything develops just in case. Tried giving them the digestive support ones this morning and they both turned their noses up at them!! Hoping the joint ones taste different!

Hi,

My bunny is 5 years old and I wanted to start giving her Senior Support supplement but I don't like ingridients in it (flour and yeast?):
Timothy grass, barley flour, oat groat flour, cane molasses, flax seed meal, brewers dried yeast, xanthan gum, algae (fat product), mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract

It's the same with Joint Support supplement:
Timothy grass, barley flour, oat groat flour, cane molasses, flax seed meal, yeast culture (dehydrated), xanthan gum, algae (fat product), mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract

What do you think? Any help is appreciated.
