Reserved: Mod & Burny - stunning small pair in HERTS

catxx

Mama Doe
One of the most stunning little pairs are Mod and Burny Whiskers. Mod is a chocolate lop girl, a real little stunner, who came to us with a group of others from a retired breeder. She's a lovely girl but has shown anxiety around hands in the past and lunged, just needs careful management and lots of space.

Burny Whiskers is a tiny tiny harlequin Netherland Dwarf, positively pocket sized, he arrived after his owner's housemates had a party and burnt his whiskers off, his nickname on arrival stuck. He is a very curious little chap who loves people, loves head rubs, and will quite happily have head rubs FOREVER. He has had snuffles in the past, clear at the moment.

Currently in foster (foster will update below!)

Mod and Burny Whiskers are currently being fostered by me :D

Burny is a lovely tiny little rabbit who is very affectionate, he loves his head rubs and actively seeks out human interaction. He is good with all people including sensible children of all ages as long as they supply head rubs upon demand.

Both he and Mod are very active and love to race around and binky. They enjoy all kinds of enrichment, especially forage. Burny likes racing through their tunnels best whereas Mod prefers her Hop Inn cube and moult and bolt box.

Mod is super cute and enjoys being hand fed and just being fed in general. We have spent lots of time gradually reassuring her that people and hands do not automatically mean she is going to be medicated and she has gained huge amounts of confidence and has blossomed into a lovely friendly rabbit although happy to accept the odd stroke and come and flop next to you she doesn't share Burny's passion for head rubs just yet.
Whilst she does very occasionally lunge if she feels threatened (you can see her tense so owners who understand rabbit body language are a must) she has never bitten or boxed anyone. Like Burny she is easy to handle for health checks when required.

Neither rabbit is phased by next doors dogs or by my cat.

Both are adorably cute, happy, active little rabbits who show no signs of snuffles at present. They would love a forever home with lots of time to give Burny head rubs and ear massages. :D

OH supplying head rubs rather than cleaning

20 minutes later.... :D

A little update, as Mod is much more confident and less anxious, these two are returning to the rescue next week so that they will be available for viewing by anyone that might wish to home them. Will be super sorry not to be able to give them head rubs every day but would love for them to find a forever home where they can get all the attention they deserve.
