Lady Lydia :-(

That looks so painful. I want to mention something I have no doubt you will have tried but just in case! There are a couple of creams for nappy rash available, not sudocrem, that have a barrier against moisture in them. You can get them in most supermarkets and chemists. Names to look for, bepanthen, Metanium and drapolene. Details for drapolene - my favourite for the kids!

If you like the idea but want something organic, there is a fair selection here.

Noticed a couple have calendula or beeswax which might be beneficial.

Awwwww thank you :) We have tried various Nappy Rash creams and....*cough*...... haemorrhoid creams........

For us the Savlon Advanced Healing Gel (not just plain savlon cream) or Flamazine (used for treating burns) appears to be of most benefit.

But everyBun is different so with the agreement of the Vet trying other things is always worth a go xx

Sending vibes for lovely Lady L.

Jane you've probably tried it already, but have you put manuka honey on her feet? It healed Toadstool's abcess so fast, and an area that looked much redder than Lydia's turned pale pink literally overnight. I smothered the area in it and it really did help.

I have a big jar left over so could send you some in a plastic container if you wanted to try it and don't have any on hand...

ouch poor girlie. Have you tried that spray on plaster stuff or manuka honey?

I dont like using the SOP as it can be extremely painful on application and makes her frantically chew her hocks

I can only use MH if she will keep a dressing on as without it both Lyds and Victor lick all the Honey off as soon as it is applied :?

The Savlon AHG is absorbed quickly and it does not hurt her when it is applied :)

I can certainly vouch for SOP pain. I got it thinking it would be handy for the kids when they have a large graze but tried it myself on a cut first. It stings like :censored:!

Oh no poor Lady Lyd :( She's with the best and most knowledgable person though so if anyone can get her through this it's you Jane :)
