BattleKat
Wise Old Thumper
I am currently fostering Tass for St Giles Kennels near Taunton (rehome nationally) and would love to find him a forever home before he's due to go back in to kennels. Tass is a lovely looking black staff with some brindle and a white blaze.
The good-
He is perfectly house trained and walks very well on his lead.
He can be left for several hours with no problems.
He knows the basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, off, paw) and will also leave the room when you tell him to and wait until he's asked to come back in. He will even wait for his food until you tell him he can have it.
He is fantastic with other dogs and barely retaliated when attacked by 2 jack russels on a walk earlier this week.
Does not respond to children in passing - have not tested him past that.
He is good in the car.
When you get up in the morning or come home he sits and waits for attention instead of jumping up.
He is generally very well mannered around food.
He loves a cuddle but isn't pushy.
He's generally very calm around the house, but he loves to wrestle and play chase so would appreciate a home with someone who will take the time to play with him.
the bad-
The only downside of this wonderful dog is that he is not good with chickens and rabbits. (which is why I know it's a long shot asking on here!) He has, however, learned to ignore mice and other caged animals in the home.
If anyone in the area would like to arrange a visit either send me a PM and we can organise a time or contact St Giles Kennels on 01823 490333.
Please bear in mind I am in Minehead, about an hour away from the kennels.
