bunny babe
Wise Old Thumper
 I know I am not on here as often but would appreciate anyone letting me know if they have used Gabapentin for their buns and what dose.
Cassie has suffered with incontinence for about a year now (maybe longer) and has been on incurin which seemed to help. Recently she seemed to be getting worse and were walking into the shed to "puddles" which is unlike her, so we had her checked out a couple of weeks ago. Her bloods were good (better than a year ago) but the x-ray showed some interesting results. Some of her discs were closer together and towards the top of her back 2 discs were out of alignment. Our vet thinks that this is having an affect on her nerves further down and she does not know when she wants to go for a wee.
For now we are continuing with the incurin and metacam but going to add in some propalin and review her in 3 weeks. There was mention of Gabapentin if things did not improve.
We are not sure if the incontinence will get better or something we will have to manage so any hints on how we could manage this would also be appreciated. We are of course checking her more regularly with flies coming out more.
In herself Cassie is bright as a button and is not actually showing signs of any pain and is hopping around fine - it is mainly the incontinence. Within 24 hours of having her incurin she is a little humper when they are outside and is annoying Rambo so we are having to try to manage that too as she is annoying him and don't want her to do any more damage to her back. Lucky he is pretty placid with her.
