I received a ‘First Alert’ message from the RWAF this morning. As well as other Veterinary information relating to ‘Rabbit Savvy Vets’ the RWAF make the following statement specifically about ‘Conscious Dentals’ :
’’We have been made aware that some rabbit owners are travelling to vets specifically to have ‘conscious dentals’ but this is not something we think is appropriate. It is important that rabbits are always fully anaesthetised when they have their molars (cheek teeth) trimmed, and under no circumstances should incisors (front teeth) ever be clipped, they should always be burred or filed.’’
