Happy Hopping
Wise Old Thumper
So after this incident back in May:
http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?464670-There-is-a-patch-of-fur-missing-on-my-bun
I took my bun to the vet and they have to stitch him back. The wound fully healed.
Since then, there is the usual August fur shedding from both of my bunnies, but his bald patch didn't really grow back at all. It did get smaller, but there is no way a bald patch takes that long to grow back. As it's now October
today, as I grab him, I slightly initialize a new surface wound, as of now, it's a superficial wound. By itself, a rabbit skin is so thin, would a tiny little wound like that heal by itself?
If it doesn't, then it will expand like last time, and we have to do the whole thing all over again.
The vet, who's a rabbit specialist, said he's 10 yr. old, so that's the only explanation as to why that patch of skin doesn't grow back. We even try a supplement called Oxbow Skin / Coat for 2 bottles and nothing really changes.
So has anyone else see this before? I mean, without the fur, this can keep happening. Any suggestion?
And has anyone see superficial surface wound heal by itself w/ such thin rabbit skin?
