Hi everyone, new to this forum but often read your posts so i hope you can help.
Last year my bunny Thumper (approx now 5) started to drag his back leg slightly and was very wobbly. The vet assumed ec so suggested 9 days of panacur (after reading online i realised this was too short so extended it to 28 days). He seemed to improve and when he started dragging his legs again i did a 9 day course.
Since then he has had on and off days with dragging his leg but it is now at the stage where he drags it everyday and its so upsetting to watch him struggle when he tries to be so active.
I am currently halfway through a 28 day course of panacur again and it doesn't appear to be doing anything except stressing him out (the 2nd day of treatment he was almost normal and binkying around the garden but within 2 days he was dragging again).
Are there other treatments that might help instead of panacur as he is starting to get sores on his leg where he drags it and i dont know what to do to help prevent them? Pts is not an option as he is still so full of life, he loves his food, treats, lazing in the garden and his gf
