Young Bun
Hello everyone!
Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself
My name is Joanne. I'm 32 and live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire with my hubby and 2 buns.
Fred is coming up to 7 (in July) and is a blue/grey dwarf lop. I have owned him since last July and re-homed him privately after his owner was giving him up (with poor excuses). He lived on his own in a hutch full of cobwebs and had a poor diet and matted fur He has developed quite a few health problems since I got him, but he is an absolute teddy bear of a bun who is very sweet, loves cuddles and is very easy to deal with. He will put up with anything He is very greedy and good at wrapping people around his little paw to get what he wants
Patsy is Fred's wifebun She is approx 2.5 - 3 years old (a rough guess) and a white lop (dwarf cross I think). I adopted her from a local rescue last October, and her and Fred have been bonded since last November. Patsy has had a rough deal. She was dumped and obviously mistreated as she was very scared, underweight, and wary of people. She did not like being touched at first and lunged at people through fear. It is an ongoing process, but with time and patience she is now happy being stroked and groomed, although picking up is a no-no. She is a very intelligent, sweet, sensitive bun who is curious, mischievous and has a great deal of sparkle She takes a while to trust people but I am very proud of how far she has come and hopefully will continue to progress. She might not ever be a super cuddle bun but I just want her to have a happy life with us and want for nothing! She is the first slightly'challenging' bun I have owned and I am learning a lot with her. She is amazing.
Fred & Patsy dote on each other! They are contrasting characters but balance each other out. Fred reassures and settles Patsy, and as his younger wife she keeps him on his toes They are always snuggled up and grooming one another
Aside from that I work at a gallery and am a self-employed artist specialising in animals I also enjoy gardening, riding and trying to support my local rescue.
That's it for now!
(tried to upload a photo but dunno if its worked.....)
