Have you got video of....

A vet's approached me looking for video for a rabbit welfare evening they are organising. Has anyone got good clips that demonstrate any of the below?

"fear, distress, pain, territorial behaviour, happiness and enjoyment"

So, perhaps stomach pressing when unwell, running to hide, territorial behavior e.g. running a fence line, that sort of thing. The negative ones are probably harder as I'm sure we've all got lots of happy binky ones but you don't necessarily record the others ... perhaps you've taken a video to show to your vet.

Thanks
Tam

I have videos of zoomies and binkies that they can use if they want to. Should I post them here in the thread or send them to you?

For the negative, I have videos of Sophie overgrooming and Casper tiltling his head while eating because of discomfort. That would be distress and pain. Do you think that would be helpful for them?

Thank you, posting here is fine if that's okay or I can pm you my email adddress - whichever is easier for you.

He send me a little more info on what they are covering. So they want to show communication/behaviour signals. Also does anyone have a video or their bun eating cecotropes to hand? I know I have one but finding the right video isn't proving easy

I took a video of Casper eating his caecotrophs for you. Don't tell him, though. 😆 https://photos.app.goo.gl/Xp3rqsWCkdsTiNPC9

And here's two binky videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/K9GRoc7RcxmUbJcTA and https://photos.app.goo.gl/ChVQgGpSRYaqzBPx5 (ignore the Kpop in the background 🤣)

Sophie's overgrooming videos turned out to be not very good quality, but I have the one of Casper tilting his head while eating, if that useful for them: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rNd253ni9nFSBqgr7

Let me know if the links don't work!

Ha Ha - Casper eating his packed lunch 🤣 They are nice videos, I love how the second binky one starts with Casper mid air

I can't decide if he would mind if he knew I shared him eating his packed lunch with the internet. It's not like bunnies are very shy about doing it in front of people. 🤣

I remember on Frances lectures (it was her that termed it packed lunch, which I copy as can't spell the proper name) 🤣 & she was saying you might not notice rabbits doing it as many will do it privately. Nothing could be further from the truth in my experience. The more significant the house guest the higher the chance Boo will be wolfing hers down whilst half perched on the visitor shoe. Eddy is a tad more discrete though he doesn't care for privacy either

Oh, Boo, making your guests feel welcome. 🤣 My experience is the same as yours; they don't care at all who sees. They'll do it sitting right next to me. I've never cared for a bunny who considered it something to do in private. (I like 'packed lunch'; it certainly is a lot easier to spell, you're right 🤣)
