god when will owning a bun ever be easy!

its one thing after another......vet put nala on diet said she need to loose weight and also put her on anti biotics for a toe infection cos she wasnt able to hopp properly that was on fri its now tues and nala looks horrendose she has dopped the weight strate away shes ok in herself but looks verry skinny shes eating etc but i dunno just looks skinny is this normal shes on a pro biotic to help keep her stomach good but i dunno i dont like the drop in weight this soon :roll:

Any weightloss should be very gradual, especially in a Bun who has alot to loose.

What are you feeding her and are you weighing her every 2-3 days ?

shes getting a pro-fibre food as givien to me by my vet which i mix with a small amount of excell cos im still weaning her onto this new food and she gets a small bit of cabbage (not supposed to as vet said cut out veg all together!) and her hay shes been getting recovary diet to put her anti biotic in but its not me making her loose the weight im sure its this silly antibiotic shes on she just looks frail. my bf is going to help me weigh her after hes finished in the bath but even he said "god she looks skinny!" and she is a podgey bun

had to change my thread as just seen your pic and its the wrong nala bun i was referring to sorry.

presonally i wouldnt put a rabbit on a diet unless their health was 100% and it sounds like it isnt if she is on antibiox i would put her back on her normal food until better x

she is indeed spayed and shes got a toe infection so shes on the anti biotics for that
