Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

does the ABX Enroflouxcin causes a mild "kettle pouring" sound in a bunny's GI tract?

does the ABX Enroflouxcin causes a mild "kettle pouring" sound in a bunny's GI tract?

since I gave Enrofluxcin, along w/ 0.4 cc of flax/canola oil, and milk thistle, my bun's stomach is having a mild kettle pouring sound. It's not a GI stasis, as her diet is quite good.

but I do hear the sound. anyone has similar experience?

Not sure what you mean re 'kettle pouring sound' Jason :? Do you mean a sort of watery gurgling sound ? All abx have the potential to cause some GI tract disturbance. But Enrofloxacin is considered to be 'low risk' in that respect. What is your Bunny's poo output like ? Any mucus/brown fluid/very soft fecal pellets ?

yeah, that's what I mean. I haven't use ABX on any bun for quite a few yr., so I totally forgot about it. It's a water gurgling sound. I knew it has to be caused by something, and it happens after I get the ABX

does it affect her diet negatively?
