Almost got myself banned from another free ads group yesterday for getting involved in a discussion with a woman who has keep a 1 year old bunny in a ferplast hamster cage  when questioned she couldn't see the problem. She then deleted the ad and admin have said that they would rather than people didn't comment and then the rabbit could have got rehomed. I said that that is all very good and well but then she as an owner and possibly the new owner as well would think that it was acceptable to keep a rabbit in that tiny tiny cage. People do get heated in discussions like that which doesn't help but I would rather that than it being ignored.
WHAT?!?! That's awful!!!!! How on earth does ANYONE think that's ok?! And to think I feel guilty every day because when I'm not in I attach a 7.5x4 foot pen to my two's hutch instead of letting them free range! Poor little bunny no run to even stretch let alone run and binky how are people so stupid? You'd think that with the internet now it'd be so easy to find out what is right and what is wrong for your pet that there would be much better animal care around, but there's always so many stories about people doing really obviously wrong things

The expression that gets me....
'Its only a rabbit!!
Aaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Is this about your post on the Aberdeen pets page. The girl who is doing animal care is doing my head in, they all
Think they know everything when most I have met don't have a bloody clue.
What I hate is 'Ive owned rabbits for 100 years and muesli and sawdust has never done them any harm'! And 'if it was so bad for them why do pet shops sell it'
The expression that gets me....
'Its only a rabbit!!

I could be wrong, but weren't hutches for rabbits originally purposely designed to be too small so that they would put on weight quickly and therefore could be eaten quicker? If so it is very strange that no one has picked up on this and pointed this argument out to people. I guess it's to do with pet shops trying to make a quick buck. But it really wouldn't be very different in my head to people selling me battery style cages to keep my chickens in
