Thankyou for posting the photos Jill and for all your help with the midweek muck out yesterday. You are an invaluable member of the team. :rabbit2:
I'm pleased you have all said how lovely The Mob are. At present they are living in the rescues largest cabin 7 x 5 feet with a run at the front but really they need more room. The reason we didnt split them when they reached 16 weeks was partly because the rescue was totally overflowing and we didnt have room to split them, partly because they are SOOOOO close as a family unit, and partly because we thought we had a home for them all together. The home fell through and the rescue didnt empty out (as always!) so they have stayed together. They have been at the rescue for a year now and they really need much more than we can provide for them in terms of space and interaction. We are desperate to find them a home as a group, so much so that we would be prepared to fund raise and help any new owner pay for a shed and run for their new home and would also be prepared to get them vaccinated for the owners yearly at our vets. A new owner would have to pay for it, but it would be cheaper because we get a 25% discount on vaccinations. Not much I know, but every little helps. I have also secured lifetime sponsorship on dried food from supreme for these bunnies so their science selective would be paid for too. So a new owner would have to provide plenty of hay (the mob eat about a third of a bale A DAY) and some veggies (they eat a cabbage, a broccoli, 8 carrots and a bag of kale a day) and would have to pay for their vaccinations each year (or 6 months de pending on the risk level of your area). You would also need to help with part of the cost of setting up their new home.
So, any of you thinking of adding a bunny village to your garden....get in touch!!!
