Bobo is a lap bunny, anyone else got lap bunnies?

She is always jumping up to sit on my lap and then licks me and goes to sleep! She is also a bit naughty, always jumping up to my cabinet and running around inside it!

Bobo just rolled all the way over. Has your rabbit ever done this?

She was licking my hand and I was stroking her then she flopped on her side rolled over then stood up! Doughnut would flop but never roll over.

Does your rabbit sit in their food bowl? Bobo loves it!

Anyone else's bunny sit in their food bowl and eat like that! She is so tiny so won't be able to fit eventually. Just including another pic of her with my friend so you can see her size

After the loss of Doughnut I had to get Bobo!

I'm still missing Doughnut so much and looked around for another rabbit. Rescue's won't generally house a rabbit singularly so then I found this little girl. She was the runt of the litter and I've named her Bobo. I got her Friday. She is so friendly, won't stop licking me and lots of...

My amazing Doughnut has gone, I've just put her to sleep

I am absolutely heartbroken but she didn't want to eat and I think she may have fell over in the night and couldn't get up. She dropped down to 750g from 950g in a week. My specialist thought it was time too before she started suffering. He was so lovely. Told me I was the most amazing owner...

I've been told I won't have Doughnut for much longer :(

Sorry I haven't posted or updated my posts but I've not had the best of time the last week. Doughnut had three teeth out then I went back and saw another specialist at the place I go who also knows Doughnut said he said I didn't have very long with her. That night her cecal was impacted and...

Another three teeth removed for doughnut

Took her to the vets as digestion playing up again. Thought it was teeth. I waited while they did the dental. Did it at 11. She's so sleepy. Think they gave her the drug that contains morphine as she's so sleepy. They said keep her warm and she apparently took a while to come round. Can't...

Liquid form of ranitidine - anyone able to still get hold of it?

My specialist and local vets can't get hold of it now, really worried as this is the only thing that kept Doughnut well from her acid reflux, it also helped with her slow gut mobility. My specialist is going to try and find an alternative, just wondered if there is any stock anywhere!!

If I brush Doughnut she starts cleaning herself, does any other buns do this?

It makes me laugh. I'm brushing her tail and mainly her lower back since she's been wet and not sure she can reach it now so it gets a little matted. As soon as I brush his area she turns her head round and starts licking her side, it's like a joint effort and seems like it's automatic. Even...

Doughnut - loss of back legs - anyone else's rabbit had this?

Just thought I would start another post as on Friday night Doughnut lost the use of her back legs due to her arthritis. Took her on Saturday morning, heartbroken, thinking I would have to put her down. I couldn't keep her alive when she's wet and can't get about. I want her to have a happy...

Any ideas for wearing a rabbit's teeth down?

Doughnut hasn't eaten hay in 10 weeks. Tried every hay under the sun and it can't be her teeth has she had them done last week! She won't eat grass either but will eat dandelion leaves! I was going to get some apple sticks for her but when I ordered some from ebay before they turned out to be...

Update Doughnut has arthritis of the spine - laser treatment

Doughnut has been unwell again, not eating and rushed her to the emergency vets a few weeks ago and then was admitted to my specialist for the day as after another dental she was soaking wet and not eating. Since then she's been happy but not eating any hay. The last few days I've noticed she...

Has your insurance gone up a lot when you've claimed?

I'm just wondering whether to claim back for the blood tests and consultation fees. Also is medicine included in a claim? Without medicine mine would be about £150 and excess is £55. Just thinking if the policy goes up a lot in November when I renew because of this claim is it worth it...

How long do myxi nodules last?

I'm taking Doughnut back to the specialist on Friday. I can still feel internal lumps, three close together the size of pips but then all sort of merged to the size of a pea. Hard to describe. I also found a lump sort of on the surface. I pulled her fur back and could see it. This was round...

Cheaper and better alternative to critical care sachets

Since Doughnut's been ill I've been syringe feeding her critical care. When I spoke to one of the nurses at the specialist practice she advised swapping to Dual Care by Burgess. Apparently all the vet hospitals are using this now instead of critical care. It has the same vitamins, prebiotic...

Updated #37: Doughnut has survived myxi due to being vaccinated

I haven't been on here for ages as my IT at work blocked the site! I just wanted to let everyone know please vaccinate your rabbits and share my experience of myxi, it wasn't what I thought! Doughnut had been tiddling outside of her tray, took her to my specialist, no infection but as soon as...

    Tramadol experiences

Doughnuts now Going to have tramadol as well as metacam ranitidine metaclopramide and an antibiotic. Picking it up tomorrow. Will crush it up and syringe it with the other meds. Just wondered people's experiences as I think some bunnies get sleepy or off their food. She's got the gut stimulants...

Doughnuts having another dental three weeks after her other one

Took her back to mark as she wasn't right and sneezing. She's got a respiratory infection bloated and another spur digging into her tongue. It's grow back quickly as not felt great so not eating as much hay. She had carried eating again though but just noticed she didn't rush for her food and...
