Smaller droppings alongside normal size droppings. Is this anything to worry about?

Hi All, Over this past week when I have been cleaning out my rabbit I have noticed smaller droppings alongside normal sized droppings. My rabbit is just over 2 years old and appears to be healthy. He is looking and behaving as he normally does. The only change in his diet is some beetroot...

Unpacking sawdust. Is there a quick way?

Thanks for the replies. I want to do what is best for my rabbit so I will use what shavings I have and then look into the alternatives. At the age of 37 this is the first time I have owned a rabbit so it is a bit of a learning curve.

Unpacking sawdust. Is there a quick way?

He uses a litter tray in his run. Not in his hutch. I reasoned that the shavings would give extra comfort for his feet? I do also use shavings and hay in his litter tray.

Unpacking sawdust. Is there a quick way?

I did not realise. I am just doing what pets at home told me to when I got the rabbit. I line with newspaper. Then put down shavings (not sawdust like I posted). Then I put some hay over it.

Unpacking sawdust. Is there a quick way?

I hope you don't think that this is a really silly question. I have just spent around 20 mins unpacking my new pack of sawdust so it is all ready for when I come to clean out the hutch tomorrow. I used to just unwrap it and put the block into a black bag. But it has been beginning to be a...

    Help with litter tray!!!

Thanks for that. I have only recently attached the run to the hutch so maybe the fact that he escaped from his run just before he stopped using his litter tray was coincidential. The shower curtain idea is a good one.

    Help with litter tray!!!

Long story short. The rabbit was using the litter tray quite happily until he escaped from his run. Since then he has been doing his business in the corner of the run. I was thinking of putting the litter tray in the corner of the run where he has started doing his business but not sure if...

    Sexing my rabbit.

Thanks just found that. Not sure I fancy giving it a go. Would a vet do sexing for free or would I need to pay?

    Sexing my rabbit.

Hi All, I bought my rabbit from pets at home. They told me that my rabbit was a boy. However after putting several threads on the behaviour forum here it has been suggested more than once that my rabbits behaviour is more common to girl buns and was I sure. Today I had the opportunity to pick...

Rabbit not using litter tray after escaping from run.

Hi All, I was having problems with my rabbit being a bit scared of me. After taking advice from here we managed to attach the run to the hutch so I do not need to handle him so much. It seems to have done the trick, he does not seem to be scared of me anymore so we are all much happier...

One step forward two steps back.

Snow White would suit his name better if he turned out to be a she. My 5 yr old named him before you all think that I am slightly loopy. :p I do not really want to pick him up yet to be honest I have no idea how I am going to do it when he needs to go to the vets for his vaccinations. My idea...

One step forward two steps back.

The girl in the petshop told me he was a boy. She did check twice so I am assuming he is a boy. My husband is going to attach his run to his hutch so I do not have to handle him. He was meant to do it on Monday but did not get time in the end.

One step forward two steps back.

He is around 14 weeks old. He is not neutered yet. I am planning on having him done around christmastime when hubby will be around to help me.

One step forward two steps back.

Hi, I have posted about this problem a couple of times now. I have a rabbit which I have had for about 3 weeks. I was trying to handle him everyday and put him in his run. Then one day when I went to pick him up he started growling at me and looked like he may attack. I have read some...

    Update & question .

Things have got a whole lot better already thanks to the advice on this forum. Thank you sooo much!!! I read an article which said that in these circumstances I should not attempt to pick him up for two weeks. I have not attempted to try and lift him. I have just gone to his cage...

Would I be able to buy the rabbiting on magazine from WHSmiths or is it a specialist magazine I need to order?
