Mama Doe
SCABS: Over the last week I have found scabs on the bunny I brought from the rescue section at P@H last Saturday, she was there as no-one had wanted to adopt her (I'm so lucky to be the one to have her!). I have another rabbit who has not been in physical contact with her as she's only 12 weeks (different cages); and have been watching her like a hawk when I have let her out - I therefore am sure this problem has not occurred since I've had her, which makes sense as the scabs look as though they're healing. I have found 2-3 small scabs and 1 slightly larger one. My dad and I believe the cause is from other buns, although we obviously couldn't say for sure - she was hiding in her cage (which had other rabbits, and beforehand she had been with around 5-8 rabbits in the main adoption area) when I got her so perhaps she was being bullied?
EYE-DISCHARGE: Her right eye seems to have a watery-crust around it. It is clear, but the eye itself is different from the left eye - pinker, and has thinner hair around it.
She's still active, inquisitive and enjoying cuddles, and eating and pooping normally from what I've seen so far - but I'm anxious. The scabs and eye-discharge is really worrying me.
Tomorrow I'm taking her to the vet, in the meantime any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
