  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hey!

I'm originally from Chatham and whilst i never kept rabbits whilst living at my parents, I had a few friends that did and used the one on Waderslade Road in Waderslade. I'm not sure how good they were, but I know they never had any probs! the only other one I know that was rabbit friendly is in Strood, but I guess that's abit far ideally.

I'm in Chatham at the weekend so I'll wave!

There is an RSPCA rehoming centre in Walderslade, they may be able to advise you on an appropriate rabbit friendly vet if you contact them.

Hello!!!!

I am in Gillingham too!!!!!

I did get my cats spayed in Shepherds as it is two mins from my house, but I prefer to use a vet where I can park    . Also dont like Sheperds way of doing things where you just turn up. Prefer specific appointment times.

I have since been using Medway City Vetinarary Centre which is just through the Medway tunnel. Just as quick really cos it takes longer to find a parking space than it does to drive a bit further!!!

They have neutered Pickle my boy bun and have also administered vaccinations without any trouble.

Anything else needing answered then ask away

Yea sometimes you sit in the waiting room for ages! It was packed last week, people were actually standing up. I take my guineas there and the youngish lady vet was good with them, also so was the young man! I may consider changing but as all is well at the moment i won't be visiting the vet anytime soon....hopefully! x
