Chews off fur.. why? *UPDATE*

Does anyone know why Millie chews off the fur around the eye area on Fabian?

Hiya.Its called 'barbering' and is an exagerated form of grooming. I had a bonded pair (Emily and Alfie) and Emily kept Alfie permanently devoid of whiskers/ eye-lashes and ear fur :shock: :shock: :roll: :roll: It is a sort of 'behavioural issue' but unless the over-groomed Bun actually gets sore skin it is nothing to worry about. Thanks Jane.. I thought I had a wierd bunny with a obsession for other bunnies fur and my boyfriends hair. When she is in the sofa with my boyfriend she licks and chews off hair on his arms, legs, belly.. :roll:

She doesn't chew fur all the time!! She has bitten Mr Fab several places. Had to take him to the vet today because his ears was red and sore and the vet said it was bitemarks in both ears. He's on antibiotix now.
