  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Have any of you done this? Please say some of you have! T.T

Well, I'm supposed to be getting my bunny today... But I tried the NIC housing... And, well, I guess I mismeasured because I came up 6" or more off, so I could hardly get in my room! Yuk. So, I think the only real solution is one of those pre-made cages now... And I'll have to bust my butt to get my room clean, because it seems I've had a tornado hit in the last 24 hrs.

Please say I'm not the only one who's ever mismeasured! T.T I think that maybe the connectors had something to do with it... They seemed to space the cubes a bit.

Yes! That has definatly happened to me!
I have built and rebuilt NIC cages hundreds of times! Its not that hard (just takes a bit of time) to rebuild one, why dont you try that instead of useing a pre-built cage?!

Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

P.S- the cleaning will take longer than the rebuilding, just to warn you

Well, my room is at about 60% of the mess that was here yesterday... XD The only thing about building these is that my right palm is puffed up like a balloon from connecting the pieces.
