Not sure what others think, but when I spoke to my vet about the best diet, he thought that hay, hay and more hay was best, and to view pellets and veg as supplements (i.e. no need to give much of either, just enough to provide access to nutrients etc not supplied by hay) rather than as fundamental parts of their diet.sweetie said:He gets bored with just his dry food and hay.
Aye, and don't they get grumpy if you are late !!!! If he hasn't been fed by 9am (he gets his food in the morning) then he starts stomping on the bottom of his hutch. My neighbours must love me on a sunday when I am trying to lie in and the bun is going nutsSweetie said:Mine has a supply of hay all day along with his dried food, the veggies are given when we get back from work around the same time as we have our evening meal. The bun has got used to this now and knows when its tea time!
