Molly is approx 6 years old. She was a stray from BARC so it’s just a guesstimate. She started limping before Christmas. Vet diagnosed her with a nail bed infection on her back paw. She was on Baytril and Loxicom for 2 weeks, her toe was really sore, red, inflamed.
It cleared up after the two weeks and all has been good until yesterday. She’s now limping again. The vet said if it didn’t clear up after the Baytril they’d need to remove her toe... I’m back there on Tuesday with a view to leaving her for the op. I’ve seen two separate vets and neither has seen a nail bed infection in a rabbit.
Does anyone have any experience of them? To remove her toe just seems so drastic!
