  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

unexpected breeding i need help/tips im very uneducated

so yesterday was weighing day so i weighed my rabbits and guinea pig then put them back in there run. now i had to divide my run because i have female and male rabbits so i thought that i divide it okay and it was secure but my male rabbit was able to get into my female rabbits run and mate with her but we didnt see it so we think it happened becuase her fur was all brushed up and she had a dirty bum . so then my mum went outside and found out she has escaped to get away from smokey (male rabbit) . so my mum brought her to me and told me what happened. but the problem is that i have never cared for a pregant bunny because it was unexpected and i dont know anything about pregant animals and howto care for them . so i was wondering if any of you could give me advice on a pregant bunny and how to care for one if you uneducated . thanks

p.s i still have to wait 2 weeks to fully find out she is pregant.

thank you .
