  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Snuffles question

Just wondering, should we keep Charlie warm, or should we keep him cool. Trying to find answers online but not really getting anywhere....:?

depends on the individual rabbit to be honest. i had two snuffle bunnies, bonded. one did better when warmer and one when cooler. it was a bit of a battle! :)

It's a generalisation, but on the whole, rabbits cope better with cool than they do with warm. If this were my rabbit I would keep him medium-cool :D

Is he still on his antibiotic injections? How is he in himself?

Hi, mighty Max thanks for that, yes still on antibiotics (injections:cry: OH Is doing that, thankfully, I cant stand needles)has his las one in the morning. Other than that he being a little ****** Oh and being very cheeky

Oh I take it the antibiotics are working then? I do hope so! Though he sounds like his cheekiness would overtake anything else

Thanks biscandmatt1, I think we will try keeping the heating off for a while, see if that makes any difference...Hopefully it will make him feel better.

He's still sneezing, but not as much, a couple of weeks ago he was having sneezing fits. Yes his cheekiness does take over especially in the evening, can't make his mind up wether he wants to be on the sofas or on the floor... We have laminate flooring and he loves skidding around :lol:
