moving house bunnies to outside

im moving soon to my parents house with my three buns who have all been living indoors with me, the two boys have been indoors since birth but the mum was a hutch rabbit before i adopted her. the bunnies will be living outside and we plan to custom build a lovely set up for them in the garden, but im just wondering if anyone has any advice on any potential health issues to look out for with the change to living outdoors?

they are all being vaccinated on monday so thats no problem but i cant help worrying about the little babies out there on cold nights!!! they are nearly 3 months and by the time i move theyll be 4 months old so am i just being an overprotective bunny mum or is there something i can do to make things easier on them?

thanks in advance xxx

Hi
This time of year is probably the best time as you no longer have the heating on and temperatures are similar inside to outside during the day. I would add extra hay/straw at night to keep them extra cosy and to help them get used to being outside as temperatures are still quite cold during the night. Also I don't know what type of accommodation they will have outside, but I would strongly advice to covering it in a way that they cannot get spooked by any predators during the night as that would be the biggest change to their surroundings. You can place boards up at the accommodation to about 2 ft high to stop them getting spooked by anything walking by or cover the outside with something like a bamboo blind.
