Physical Description:
Wispa is a black mini lop with a strip of brown fur around the back of her neck with a white belly and chin. We brought her directly from a local pet shop in August 2009 so she is around 3 and a half.
We think Charlie is a blue otter mini lop. We got him from a rabbit rescue centre in February 2010 to give Wispa some company. He was a similar age to Wispa when we got him so he is around 3 a half too.

Temperament:
Wispa is generally the dominant one of the two, she is also bigger than Charlie and loves her food which means she’s easily bribed with a sprout or a carrot. Charlie doesn’t care much about food and so can’t be bribed. Having said that though, he generally does whatever wispa does so he’ll usually follow her. If you put 2 brussel sprouts in their cage, he’ll eat the same one as wispa rather than have his own which is quite sweet. They are both very inquisitive and Wispa will jump up on our sofa and have a little nose around. Neither of them are particularly keen on sitting on your lap for a stroke and don’t hang around for long. They will let you stroke them when it suits them. Due to our lack of time, we only tend to handle them when they need nails cut, their coat brushing or a trip to the vets which probably is why they’re not keen on being handled so much. This could easily be reversed with a bit of time and effort. Wispa is very strong and will put up a fight if she knows somethings up! She’s never bitten us and is not aggressive in any way.
Charlie is unfortunately deaf, and doesn’t really respond to noise. If you have the hoover going, he will sniff and sit in front of it when we clean them out, where as Wispa will be as far away as possible. Because he is deaf, he tends to be a bit more aggressive. He has nipped us once or twice but to be honest, I think he was probably a bit nervous and he may of got spooked. He only did it twice and hasn’t done it for 2 years. He will let you handle him without issue and is very good when we need to clip his nails or brush him.

Age
Both approximately 3 and a half years old.

Sex
Wispa – Female
Charlie - Male

Neuter Status
Both rabbits were neutered in February 2010

Vaccination Status
Not up to date on their vaccinations.

Health
Charlie is generally in good health and has never had any medical problems. Due to his long fluffy hair, he sometimes gets poo stuck to his bum. A quick clean and trim and he is fine again.
Wispa is also in good health. She’s had two issues. The first was sore paws. This was caused by her trying to dig her way through the plastic tray in their cage. She wore the fur away and made the skin very sore. We now have mats that sit in the bottom of the cage which make it softer and the problem has never reoccurred. It was treated with steroid cream and salt water. In the past 10 months months she developed a dental problem. She was (supposedly) treated at our usual vets. However a few weeks later and she was off her food again. This time we took her to another vet who specialises more in rabbits. She had several overgrown teeth and a spur that was cutting her cheek. This time she was treated properly and has been fine since June/July.

Type of home wanted
Wispa and Charlie cannot be separated in my opinion. They are soul mates and regularly cuddle up together. Charlie is always grooming Wispa and if you stroke her, Charlie is there keeping an eye on her. They have lived indoors all their life so I’m unsure how they’d adapt to living outside. I want them to have the attention they deserve and a bit more freedom. They are house trained and go to the toilet in a litter tray inside their cage. Occasionally, they poo outside their cage but Charlie has never urinated outside of the cage and Wispa only did this once right at the beginning while she was still settling into her new home.
Location
Welling, Kent

Reason for re-homing
We are re-homing due to fact that we have both become very busy with our jobs which are particularly demanding on our time. My partner runs his own business and my spare time when I am not working is now taken up with helping with the paperwork and accounts. This means that we do not have the time to spend with the rabbits and sometimes we work late which means they don’t get to run around. We want them to have a home where someone has more time to spend with them and more space as we live in a flat. We will be sad to see them go but would like them to find a new home where they can be given more attention.
We have an indoor cage for them which consists of two indoor cages linked together and various accessories like tunnels and toys

We are offering these bunnies including their cages, pet carriers, toys and any food and litter we have in return for a good home. Don't make me get the really cute pictures out!!!!

Can transport if need be

Someone must have space or know someone who has space for these two . Please we would really like them to have a new home.

If you need them vaccinated we can get them vaccinated before you pick them up but would ask to be reimbursed as we are giving away everything else, cages, toys, pet carriers, whatever food, litter and hay we have left.

We can also help with transporting them to their new home if it is within a reasonable distance.
