Catit Cat litter tray

Can anyone think of a reason why this Catit tray and liners etc wouldn't work for my two indoor buns?

Thinking I could put a wire mesh tray at the top for hay (above them, not for them to walk on)

An ordinary covered cat litter tray is fine to use if you were to stuff it full with straw & hay- though I'd probably take the door off . However this particular one mentions liner's, are they like plastic bag liners? :? .. I wouldn't use these as bunny would most likely chew them, you could always line it with newspaper

We use bin liners now and they're fine with them, they're easy to slide off and change
