  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Was Refusing to eat last night and still the same this morning.

Luckily the vets open as normal on a Sunday so no out of hours charge!!

His temperature was slightly down but not massively, he's had the usual injections that normally help stasis.

Fingers Crossed

Thanks he's had a leaf from a pak choi, also I've given him some basil and mint which he's picking at.

Certainly on the mend he's just come bouncing over for some food as I was on my way past to go to bed.

Now tucking into some dried blackcurrent leaves, not touched his pellets yet so hopefully that's tomorrow job for him

Excellent! Don't they smell wonderful?

I was so lucky there, my friend let me prune all her currant bushes in exchange for the prunings! She thought I was mad:lol:

They do seem to do the trick for tummy bunnies:love:
Glad to hear he's improving and fingers crossed he's back to normal soon:love::love:

Just glad I had some dried leaves in for him, he's not too keen on the plantain but the others are so I held back the black currant leaves for him.

Edit: Jigsaw appreciates your pruning skills
