No, it's a new marketing ploy. I got told they were 'pygmy' rabbits
Ignore them - they are just ignorant. they mean nethies etc.
No apparently it's a new breed. Smaller than nethies even. Not sure how true it is but some people have seen them and said they're as small as a person's fist.
Very worrying.

They're definitely lying about them being Pygmy as if they were selling them they'd be selling an endangered/protected species!

I can't find the link to the British breeder but this is an example of an American one who are looking to breed micro mini's and also lionhead rexes. They explain the genetic process however I wouldn't read it too closely if you're easily upset. I link to it only because it provides photo's and explanation on their (the rabbits) creation, not to endorse it in anyway.

past thread http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?267339-Micro-rabbits the micro nethie pictured on that thread was not breed that small deliberately, her story is here http://www.barbibrownsbunnies.com/micro.htm
Mirco mini's have been around for at least 3 years as I came across them when I was looking to buy Toby in early 2009. Basically it's where breeders have realise people want small rabbits. Lots of people are rehoming rabbits because they grew a lot bigger than they where expecting and they don't know what to do when they've got a rabbit that fills the indoor cage they bought. To fill this need they have sourced and breed undersized rabbits, particularly cross breeding with polish rabbits. I have seen micro mini rexes, lops, and lionheads. The micro nethie never really caught on because its so ugly. I think to be classes as micro they have to be less than 2.5kg
I would imagine that if they continue to be breed consistently someone will apply to the BRC to have them registered as an official breed but they are not currently.
Sounds like they are trying to make a new type of tomato not a flippin rabbit
