Looking like we may have to adopt another stray!

Lobo

Mama Doe
This girl was found being attacked by other birds and handed into a vet a couple of weeks ago. They have notified all over but nobody has claimed her so she is up for re-homing.

Wow she is stunning.

Is she native to Australia ? I don't remember such a wonderfully coloured bird before, but maybe they don't go into the cities.

As William said, native to those areas.

They are rainforest parrots and need a specialised diet. We were approached by the Parrot Rescue handling her placement as they have strict conditions due to the dietary needs. We had a male Eclectus for 33 years who we sadly lost last May, so hopefully we can again have an Eccy in our lives.

Yes, I remember your Eric.:(

My Dads friend found a budgie in the woods whilst walking his dogs.

Poor thing was being attacked by other birds so he whistled and put his finger out.....it flew straight to him!

Blair the Budgie now lives with my Dads friend and happily sits on his shoulder whilst he walks his dogs.

Birds are amazing creatures. I hope she settles well with you. :)

wow what beautiful colours! I dont think I would take on an exotic bird myself but I would love to have a budgie again, I miss my budgie so much!!! Again, need a bigger house tho :love:
