How do you know if bonding has been successful?

Wise Old Thumper
There have been no fights at al between Islay, Jura and Arran, and about a handfull or full tufts pulled, but none in the last few days. However he just tend to stay out the way of them, he just doesn't participate. There has been grooming, just not a lot, and mostly, he just sits in the corner while they play and do just general bunny behaviour.

Is this normal for a rabbit who has never had a companion? Do you think he will get used to them in time?

I definitely think decreasing the space would be a good starting point. that way he has to confront being around them, not just avoid them.

Dating is good, and, as you know, a method I have used to go effect, but you won't know it's been successful until they are permanently together and have been together, in whatever space you want them in, for a good while with no problems. Until then it's all progressive steps of the bonding process.
