  • Please Note - Medical Advice

    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

:cry: :cry: :cry: I really need vibes, I am getting stupidly upset now. I hate being such a worrier.

Once they are spayed, I read hay irritates their wound, so any tips on what I should put in their litter tray? :wave:

No tips I'm afraid, but I feel your worry! Mine will be done in a month or 2, and I'm worried already!

I'm sure they'll be fine xxxxx lots of luck! xxx

i'd be the same! esme was done before i got her so i didn't have that worry.

do you have any vetbed or fleece? xx

awww (((((hugs))))), They will be fine & I will be thinking of them tomorrow :love:

we were also told to just used newspaper after the op :wave:,

I have been through it many many times now & I still worry :oops:

I have fleeces for them to lie on in their dog cage, they will be travelling home in it and stay in it until their stitches are out.

Hope all goes well. :wave: I haven't had a girly bun, but was told to use towels after his neuter. Fleece washes and dries easier.

Thanks everyone! :wave::wave::wave:

I have: their dog cage (folded up), 2 carriers, 2 fleece blankets, 1 litter tray, 1kg hay, food bowl, bottle, toy, banana, carrot, broccoli, 3 days worth of pellets and newspapers. Anything else you think I might need?

Got to carry all that (with them too of course) on a bus, off a bus, on a train, off a train, through the town to the vets along with my own stuff for an overnight stay in a hotel. I really need to learn how to drive :lol:
