  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Has he got a sore bum or something?

You may want to explain a bit more about what's going on with bunny bum?

Be very careful they don't ingest it, I think it's the zinc level in it that can poison rabbits

Yes, shes had abit of a wet bum as im wee or a slight discahrge. she is 6 years old and unspayed. She is happy in herself and eating fine! Washed her bum yesterday in water and so she had a bit of a swallen vagina.

I think this requires a vet trip to be honest, she may have something more sinister going on if she has discharge and is weeing over her fur. Be safer to get her checked out, and just try and keep her dry and clean for the time being.

Yes but better to go to the vets and get some baytril for infection that could be present. I use on ava's bum daily.

Do you have any vet bed or a lot of old towels? If she's sore underneith hay and shavings could irritate her skin and make things worse
