what do you use in the house to keep your carpets from getting messy?

People often talk about the plastic carpet protectors that offices sometimes have. maybe staples do these? Haven't protected the carpet in maisys room but she is very good and olny pees in her cage. That said, she's ripped up the crapet and dug in the corners! It wasn't a new carpet byt will definietly need replacing!
 
have seen pics of textured lino in someone's housing pics on the site. But maybe the plastic sheeing would be an idea if you didn't want to replace the floor but rather juts protect whats there.
 
We don't :lol: We have really really old carpets in the bunnies rooms (I'm talking 24 years old) so we arn't too bothered about any stains or anything. I'm soon going to replace it with lino once I have enough money.
