Morning
I spoke to the vets today and they have been able to move Smokey's de-plumming operation from 3 weeks time to next Wednesday  I do think that that's great as the quicker he has his little op, the sooner I can bond him back with Bandita. But the problem is, is that I was planning on looking after him after his operation, and was going to give him the floor space in my room and follow the advice of everyone on here, but I'm actually away from home next Wednesday, so my Mum has said that she will take care of him. My Mum does a great job with the rabbits and helps me out all the time, but I'm just so sensitive and worried about my poor little man, I want to be the one to look after him! I feel so sorry for him, he won't have a clue what's happening to him I've been really lucky with Smokey and he's never had to have any operations or treatment for anything, he's going to be so scared.
I know it's for the best but I can't help feeling rubbish that it wont be me who picks him up and takes him home!
Am I right in thinking that when he comes home, he has to be kept in for atleast 24 hours in an unheated room with food and water? Then when he goes back outside he won't need any further treatment?
Sorry for moaning, Im just more stressed than I thought I would be! xx
